Position Overview
As the intern for Africa and Middle East at ScorePlay, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Sales EMEA with creating a sales strategy and building a pipeline in a brand new region. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Head of Sales on opening a new territory for ScorePlay. This role will enable you to gain hands-on experience in sales and business development, how to build growth plans and win within the sports technology industry.
This position is for up to a six month contract.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion within Africa and the Middle East.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prospects, and partnerships to achieve and exceed annual sales quotas.
- Support the entire deal cycle, including finding, qualifying, closing, contracting, and being the account manager post sale for customer success.

Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers within the sports media industry in Africa and the Middle East.
- Understand customer needs, challenges, and pain points, and articulate how our solutions can address their requirements and add value to their businesses.
- Draft RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information) responses to effectively respond to customer inquiries and requirements.

Sales and Customer Success Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating sales activities, meetings, and events, both internally and externally.
- Communicate with customers and prospects to schedule meetings, demos, and follow-up activities.
- Work with current customers on facilitation and adoption, helping them to make the most of their platform.
- Working on any incidents and fixes when necessary.
